Grosseto
is an Italian town of 82 436 inhabitants, capital of the homonymous province in Tuscany.
It is the provincial capital located further south among those of Tuscany and, by territorial surface, it is the largest municipality in the region, as well as the third of Central Italy and the tenth of Italy by surface.
At the demographic level, the city had just 4 724 inhabitants immediately after the unification of Italy, starting from then an exponential growth that led to the exceeding of the 70 000 units threshold in 1991.
